I teach Introduction to 2-D and 3-D Art and Fine Art Connections. I was the Indiana Art Educator of the Year, 2007. I was the National Art Education Secondary Art Educator of the Year for Western Region (selected from the 16 states of the Western Region), 2008. I was fortunate to study art in Russia after receiving a Lilly Teacher Creativity Grant. I studied the education system in Japan, as a result of the Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund. And I was honored and humbled to be named a Distinguished Fellow in Art Education by the Art Education Association of In.

After graduating from Purdue with a degree in English, I spent seven years working outside of the educational field. As I complete my Master of Arts in Teaching at the University of Indianapolis, I am excited to begin my teaching career at NPHS!

I’m Rachael Balakin and I teach Chemistry and Integrated Chemistry. I graduated from Hanover College in 2011 with a B.A. in Chemistry and certification in Secondary Education and now I’m back at my own high school! In my free time, I enjoy helping out around the community, reading a good book, and cooking which is a lot like a chemistry lab sometimes. I am also the sponsor of the bowling team here at the high school.

I have been teaching at New Palestine High School since 1996. I teach Biology and Advanced Environmental Science and I am also the boys varsity basketball coach.

I am Steve Beebe and I have been the choir director at NPHS since 2006.

I teach math and social studies. I have taught at New Palestine High School since 1996. I have my Bachelor degree for math from Purdue University from the school of science and my Bachelor degree for social studies from the school of science from Indiana University. I enjoy word games, traveling, and music.

Mr. Brand has been teaching mathematics, and computer applications, at NewPal since 2001. He grew up in Bloomington, IN, and graduated from IU. I am a Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 teacher. I was born and raised in southern Indiana, graduating from Bloomfield H.S. I then studied Spanish education at Indiana University and abroad at the University of Salamanca in Spain. I graduated in 2008 with my Bachelor's degree in Secondary Spanish Education. From there, I taught one year in Huntingburg, Indiana, then two years in a suburb of Dallas, Texas. Now, I have returned back home again to Indiana to stay!!! I enjoy traveling (especially abroad), as well as spending time with my family, and hanging out on the lake.

I have been teaching English at NPHS since 2003, and I am also the sponsor of the National Honor Society. I have been the chair of the School Improvement Committee since 2006.

I have been a teacher at New Palestine High School since the fall of 1981. My current assignment is in the Social Studies Department, teaching Psychology, Government, and Sociology. I have also been the Director of Community Education since 1992. I am married with two grown children, and I will become a grandfather for the first time in the summer of 2013.

I began teaching Mathematics at New Palestine High School in 2007, but was not new to teaching. I taught in a Delaware public school for three years prior to coming here. I have earned my Bachelor's degree in Secondary Mathematics Education and have also earned several credits towards my Master's degree. In addition to teaching Algebra 1, Honors Algebra 2, an ECA Math Lab, and SAT Prep Courses, I am also the sponsor for the NPHS Junior Class. Along with Mrs. Franklin, I organize the Junior class fundraiser and put on NPHS Prom each year. I love being a part of NPHS and wish all of my students continued success throughout the school year!

I've been here since Fall 2012 and I teach the Engineering & Tech Courses. I teach the Project Lead the Way Pre-Engineering curriculum along with Construction and Transportation Technology Courses. I am also the DCMS Boy's Golf Coach.

Bonjour! I graduated from Indiana University with a major in French. My Master's degree is from IUPUI where I majored in Education. Somewhere in there I earned enough credit to be certified to teach English, too. Students who take four years of French do very well on their college placement exams. This earns your student free college credit before he or she ever steps foot on campus! Look for results of the National French Contest for high school students in May! They usually make me proud!

I am a resource teacher at NPHS. I have taught here since 2006, and I truly enjoy helping my students learn and grow throughout their four years here. I am thankful to be a part of this amazing community.

Welcome to the NPHS Library Media Center. This is my first year as the Media Center Director for the high school and as the lead librarian in the corporation. I have held various positions in the corporation since 1990--to include teaching math at both NPHS and Doe Creek and being the Media Center Director at both Brandywine Elementary and Sugar Creek Elementary.

My name is Mark Fuson and I have been teaching English since 1995, and made the move to New Palestine High School in 1999. I am very proud to be working in a National Blue Ribbon School in a community with great parents, students, teachers and administrators.

I've been teaching at NPHS for 20 years and have taught everything from remedial freshmen to AP and college credit composition. If you ever have question, please ask, and I'll be glad to help!

I have taught at two schools, Paoli and New Palestine. I currently teach Advanced Physical Conditioning and various Social Studies courses. I am also the boys and girls golf coach and sponsor a military boot camp field trip each year called 'Operation Red Dragon.'

I have taught at New Palestine High School for 16 years. I coach the NPHS Academic Decathlon team and the Speech team. I also serve as an adjunct professor for the University of Southern Indiana. My undergraduate degree is in secondary education with a major in English and a minor in speech, communication, and theater. My Master's Degree is in secondary education with a specialization in speech education.

Hello all. I currently teach Pre-calculus and AP Calculus AB here at NPHS. I have been teaching at NPHS for 25 years and have taught Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Chemistry during that time. I obtained my BS from the University of Indianapolis and then obtained my MS from Butler University.
